Be a Philosopher
The Be a Philosopher course is designed to challenge the way you think, act, and live.
You'll learn from likes of Seneca, Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus, Nietzsche, and more to help you along your journey.
The course is broken into three parts.
Part I: Perception
Mens sana in copore sani—a strong mind is a strong body.
As Martin Luther King Jr said, “there is something of a civil war going on within all of our lives,” there is a war going on in your mind.
And in part one, you’ll understand how you see the world, why it’s flawed, and how you can make your perception your greatest ally.
Part II: Progress
Extraordinary feats are nothing more than a million ordinary moments.
So the goal is to be a prokoption—one who makes progress—and to get 1% better each and every day.
And in part two, you’ll be offered some thoughts, ideas, and strategies to help in your pursuit of progress.
Part III: Death
Death is the world's biggest fear, but death isn't something to dread, it should be embraced. It's the mother of equality and it can be used as an effective tool to help you in your journey.
In part three, you'll understand how to live well, why you should constantly be contemplating your mortality, and how death can help move you forward in this world.
As Seneca, a Stoic philosopher, and Roman statesman, said, “would you really know what philosophy offers to humanity? Philosophy offers counsel.” And that's what I hope to offer you guys throughout this course.
Some ideas, thoughts, and strategies that will not change you, but will challenge you.
Challenge you to think.
Challenge you to reflect.
Challenge you to grow.
Because philosophy is here to help you work through obstacles, make progress, and give you a greater perspective.
So let's become a philosopher.
